  • information included in quotation requests, dealer applications, contact forms and other communications;
  • information about your product interests, intended use and preferred dealer or market;

At launch, silvalog.com does not offer customer accounts, online purchases or newsletter subscriptions. Please do not submit sensitive personal data through our forms unless we specifically request it.

3. How we collect personal data

We collect personal data:

  • directly from you when you complete a form, request a quotation, apply to become a dealer or contact us;
  • automatically when you use the website, through cookies and similar technologies where permitted;
  • from dealers, distributors, business partners or public business sources when relevant to an existing or potential business relationship.

4. Why we use personal data and our legal bases

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Responding to enquiries and quotation requests. We use your details to answer questions, prepare quotations and take steps requested by you before entering into an agreement. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and, where applicable, our legitimate interest in managing business enquiries.
  • Dealer applications and business relationships. We assess applications, communicate with potential and existing dealers and manage our distribution network. The legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps and our legitimate interest in developing and administering our dealer network.
  • Operating and securing the website. We maintain functionality, troubleshoot, prevent misuse and protect our systems. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a secure and reliable website.
  • Analytics and advertising measurement. With your consent, we use Google Analytics and Meta Pixel to understand website use, measure campaigns and improve our communication. You can withdraw your consent at any time through the website's cookie settings.
  • Legal and administrative requirements. We process information when necessary to comply with law, establish or defend legal claims and keep required records. The legal basis is a legal obligation or our legitimate interest in protecting our legal rights.

Where processing is based on legitimate interests, we have assessed that the processing is necessary and that our interests do not override your rights and freedoms.

5. Cookies, analytics and embedded content

We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the website may be used without consent. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and other non-essential technologies are used only after you have given consent where required.

Some pages may contain embedded video, maps or other content supplied by third parties. These providers may process technical data when their content is loaded. Where required, such content or associated tracking is held back until you give consent.

6. Who we share personal data with

We may share personal data with:

  • Shopify, which hosts and supports our website;
  • IT, hosting, security, analytics and communications providers acting on our instructions;
  • Google in connection with Google Analytics, where you have consented;
  • Meta in connection with Meta Pixel, where you have consented;
  • relevant Silvalog dealers or distributors when necessary to respond to your enquiry or quotation request;
  • professional advisers, authorities or other recipients where required by law or necessary to protect our legal rights.

We do not sell personal data. Service providers that process personal data on our behalf must follow our instructions and apply appropriate safeguards.

7. Shopify and enhanced services

Our website is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes personal data to provide the platform and related services. We may use Shopify features that rely on information from interactions with Shopify and participating merchants to help operate, analyse and improve the website. Depending on the enabled Shopify services and your location, Shopify may act as an independent controller for certain processing.

You can learn more in Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy and use Shopify's Privacy Portal to exercise rights relating to processing for which Shopify is responsible.

8. International transfers

Some service providers may process personal data outside Sweden or the European Economic Area. When personal data is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we use an approved transfer mechanism, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with supplementary safeguards where required.

9. How long we keep personal data

Contact enquiries, quotation requests and dealer applications are normally retained for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact. We may keep information for longer where this is necessary for an ongoing business relationship, to comply with law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Cookie and analytics data is retained according to the settings described in our Cookie Policy and the relevant provider's configuration. We review stored information and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable data protection law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of your data;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • receive certain data in a portable format;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal;
